Axial Flow PumpsThe axial-flow pump, or AFP, consists of a propeller (a radial impeller) enclosed in a pipe. Motors or engines can be mounted to the pipe from the outside, or a right-angle drive shaft can penetrate the pipe and drive the propeller directly. When flowing through a pump, fluid particles do not change their radial locations since there is very little displacement between the entrance and exit of the pump. Applications that require very high flows and very low pressures are appropriate for axial flow pumps. The chemical industry uses them for circulating large amounts of fluids in evaporators. There are many other industries which demand submersible axial flow pump, crystallizer axial flow pump and horizontal axial flow pump.
